Austria

With enchanting cities, some of Europe's best outdoor destinations, and an organised, efficient public transport network, it's hard to go past Austria as a first-rate place to travel. Vienna and Salzburg are hugely (and justifiably) popular, Graz and the towns along the Danube River are delightful, and the Alps are magnificent, offering some of the best skiing and snowboarding anywhere in the world and magnificent scenery in summer.
